About The Position

WIN Waste is currently looking for a skilled Compactor Repair Technician. This position is a mobile position and shop. WIN Waste Innovations is a waste management company committed to delivering essential waste management solutions to customers and communities supported by our team of 2,300 employees. WIN Waste Innovations is a vertically integrated business with a platform of 50 strategically located collection, transfer, and disposal assets. These include waste-to-energy facilities, transfer stations, ash monofills, landfills, and fleets of rail cars and collection vehicles. We process more than 11 million tons of waste annually, converting 6.7 million tons of waste into clean, renewable energy that powers 340,000 homes. We recycle more than 234,000 tons of plastic, paper, and metals from the waste stream.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of proven experience in the field
Ability to work an average of 45 hours a week. Monday-Friday and rotating Saturdays
Must have Knowledge of high voltage - 208v, 460/480v, & 120v (low)
Must possess ability to weld mild steel, Stick (electrode) Metal Inert Gas (MIG) and also use oxygen acetylene torch.

Nice To Haves

Certification for electric, or compactor repair CERT a major plus
Welding/fabrication experience, a major plus
Must have clean Driving license & DOT permit 26,000 and under.
Ability to read electronic diagram, a plus

Responsibilities

Compactor repair and diagnosis -on the road and in the shop
Pre trip and maintain service truck integrity -communicate defects to shop via dvir daily
Must be safety conscious and follow all our procedures for lock out tag out - High risk for incident
Must have complete working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical components. Not limited to, but primarily, Self-Contained VIP, Mini Mac .
