About The Position

Provides day-to-day attendance and operation of the compactor sites, including safety, security, and traffic flow. Provides public contact, information on disposal activities, identification of waste and fee collection. Ensures citizens utilizing compactor sites comply with the Hall County Ordinance for disposal of Solid Waste materials. Cleans and sweeps as necessary to maintain a clean work environment. Works no more than 28 hours per week and is scheduled as needed. Must be available for Holiday scheduling. Works at various compactor sites within Hall County. Must provide own reliable transportation. Must be able to work weekends. Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Requirements

  • No experience required.
  • Valid Driver's License and a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR).
  • Ability to communicate tactfully and courteously with the public.
  • Must be able to read and write.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing).
  • Ability to move oneself by walking a variety of environments.
  • Ability to bend body downward and forward by bending spine and legs, twisting at the waist, hips or knees.
  • Ability to maintain body equilibrium to prevent failing when walking, standing, or navigating narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces.
  • Ability to reach overhead.
  • Ability to repetitively use hands/arms/legs.
