About The Position

Dick's Sanitation, a Waste Connections company is looking for a Compactor Repair-Fabricator Welder to join our team in Lakeville, MN. This role involves performing welding and repair of trash containers and compactors. The typical schedule is Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed. The work environment can be indoors in a shop or outdoors, and may involve strenuous physical activity, including lifting objects over 50 pounds. The role requires maintaining a clean and safe work area, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times. Effective communication with customers regarding needed repairs is also a key part of the job.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 1 year of experience in Stick and MIG welding.
Experience in PLC's and electrical is a plus, but will train.
Fabrication experience a plus!

Responsibilities

Perform welding and repair of trash containers and compactors.
Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate and OSHA standards.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks directly with customers.
