About The Position

Blankenship Equipment Repair is a compacting and recycling business serving the Pacific Northwest and Canada. We are growing and have an opening for compactor/baler technician. We are looking for someone with strong mechanical abilities and who can learn at a moderate pace. Listed below are the desired skills/experience. Candidates do not need to posses all skills but should have experience in a few, we will teach the rest. Desired skills/experience: Hydraulic- Basic Knowledge Hydraulic hoses and fittings Solenoid valves Electrical – Basic Knowledge Diagrams Switches Relays Electric Motors Multimeters and Testing Mechanical aptitude –Strong Breakdown and Assembly Proper use of hand tools Welding/Cutting/Fabrication -Confident SMAW – Stick welding- various. GMAW – Mig welding Oxy/Acetylene heating and cutting. Plasma Cutting. Grinding. Practical fabrication and measuring. Why work with Blankenship Equipment?   • 40-Hours Vacation after 6-months. 80-Hours after one full year with incremental annual increases up to 4-weeks.
