About The Position

Compact Construction Equipment Sales Representative (John Deere Large Construction & Forestry Equipment Industry) is a full-time, exempt position. The role involves driving sales, rental, and leasing of John Deere CCE across a designated territory. The representative will build relationships through consistent customer calls, visits, and consultative selling, demonstrating equipment, presenting solutions, and tailoring specifications to client needs. The goal is to expand market share by identifying opportunities and securing new business, while also promoting value-added services. Responsibilities include tracking leads, activity, and mileage in the company’s CRM system, monitoring competitor activity, and representing Five Star Equipment at various events. Collaboration with Parts, Service, and Support Teams is essential to deliver full-service solutions. Requirements

  • 2–5 years of proven outside sales success in a competitive industry (equipment sales preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Ability to operate and demonstrate compact construction equipment.
  • Flexibility to travel across the territory and work in varied environmental conditions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to pass background screening.

  • Background in construction, forestry, or related industries a plus.
  • Strong communication, consultative sales, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities
