About The Position

JPI has an exciting opportunity for a Community Technology Project Coordinator to join our Design Department located in Dallas, TX. Responsible for assisting the Senior Community Technology Manager Innovation role with research, design, design review and coordination. The role will specifically focus on low voltage items to include access control, CCTV, structured wiring, Data, audio video, smart building technology, ERRC, and EV.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years in Low Voltage design, Low Voltage Project management, or roles with exposure to low voltage design and/or installation.
  • Demonstrated ability to project manage and work effectively with architects, superintendents and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency in typical office software - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams.
  • Proficient in Revit and Procore

Responsibilities

  • Attend weekly design meetings to ensure low voltage scope is represented and appropriately planned in drawings with third-party design consultants through the design process, inclusive of Architects, MEP Engineers, Landscape Architects, Interior Designers, etc.
  • Design low-voltage drawings while coordinating with interior and exterior low-voltage design consultant.
  • Review low-voltage design drawings in Revit for standards, track edits, and coordination issues.
  • Review of (CI) coordination issues and address within 5 days.
  • Review selected shop drawings and material submittals.
  • Assist in coordination of amenity layout in conjunction with Design Managers, Asset Management, and vendors.
  • Assist in coordination of fitness equipment standards in conjunction with Design Managers and vendors.
  • Help maintain low-voltage master schedule for: Design deadlines for each project’s SD, DD,CD and IFC sets. EV correspondence documents and requirements based on city. Low voltage to track deliverables.
  • Assists Senior Community Technology Manager in CA project handover meeting
  • Attend periodic OAC meetings and site visits at different stages of construction to ensure delivered product is consistent with plans and specs and identifies areas for recommended enhancement.
  • Review of RFI's pertaining to low-voltage items received from the job site and consultants’ responses for completeness. Document finding in Procore and stamp accordingly within 2 days.
  • Review of shop drawings pertaining to low-voltage items received from the job site and consultants’ responses for completeness. Document finding in Procore and stamp accordingly within 5 days.
  • Review of submittals pertaining to low-voltage items received from the job site and consultants’ responses for completeness. Document finding in Procore and stamp accordingly within 5 days.
  • Assists with construction administration conformance review.
  • Coordinate internet service providers' design intent with DFX
  • Other duties as assigned.
