This position assists in monitoring a residential program for individuals experiencing homelessness, with a focus on maintaining a safe environment. The role involves engaging individuals in an approachable and empathetic manner, performing rounds, and addressing their varied needs. Responsibilities include managing conflict or challenging behaviors with self-awareness, emphasizing safety and building trust, and understanding each person's unique experience. The Community Technician is also responsible for screening residents and visitors, creating written documentation (logbook entries, incident reports, progress notes), managing inventory, maintaining fire safety drills and logs, and providing emergency first aid/CPR assistance/NARCAN when needed. Additional duties include assisting with inspections and audits, escorting clients, serving meals, and helping to maintain an orderly and clean facility. This position is subject to mandatory overtime.
