About The Position

The Community Support Worker provides individualized, recovery-oriented support to residents within e4c’s long-term supported housing programs. Working with individuals experiencing mental health, addiction, and trauma-related challenges, the role promotes stability, wellness, and community integration through a relationship-based and trauma-informed approach. The Community Support Worker collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support resident goals, maintain a safe and welcoming environment, and contribute to effective program delivery.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Services, Education or related field.
  • Standard First Aid and CPR
  • Suicide Intervention
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and vehicle
  • Proof of vehicle insurance (min. $2 million liability), registration and 3-year drivers abstract.

  • 3+ years of direct service experience supporting diverse communities with complex and varied needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide relationship-based, trauma-informed support to residents, promoting wellness, recovery, and daily living skills development.
  • Support residents with life skills learning, including cooking, medication management, communication, conflict resolution, and community engagement.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and healthcare partners to implement and support resident care plans and wellness goals.
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment through positive role modeling, supportive communication, and community-building activities.
  • Assist with meal planning, food preparation, and maintaining food and wellness supplies in alignment with nutritional and program standards.
  • Support community development initiatives by organizing activities, encouraging resident participation, and building positive relationships with community stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate communication, documentation, and administrative processes while ensuring compliance with organizational, health, and safety standards.
