Community Support Worker - Adults & Certified Peer Specialist
About The Position
This is a combined position for COMMUNITY SUPPORT WORKER – ADULTS & CERTIFIED PEER SPECIALIST. Under supervision, the Community Support Worker – Adults provides Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS) for adults with significant behavioral health disorders and their families, aiming to improve their quality of life and maintain their highest possible ability to function independently within the community. The Certified Peer Specialist is a current or former consumer of mental health and/or substance abuse services who is able to provide recovery-oriented training, education, and support to individuals receiving behavioral health services. This role involves working with individuals and groups, potentially including families, offering hope, encouragement, support, promoting self-determination, and facilitating connections to the community.
Requirements
- Current or former consumer of mental health and/or substance abuse services (for Certified Peer Specialist role).
Responsibilities
- Provide Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS) for adults with significant behavioral health disorders and their families.
- Improve quality of life and maintain the highest possible ability to function independently within the community.
- Provide recovery-oriented training, education, and support to individuals receiving behavioral health services.
