About The Position

This role is with a family-oriented company that provides services to intellectually and developmentally challenged adults in their homes and community, assisting them in daily routines and recreational activities. The company values consistency, curiosity, caring, and coaching as key attributes for its employees. The position is for a day shift, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays.

Requirements

  • A High School diploma or GED equivalent and be at least 18 years of age.
  • A bachelor’s degree in psychology, behavioral science, social services or related discipline or four years of relevant experience working with Individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, dual diagnoses, or forensic involvement.
  • A current driver’s license and California automobile insurance coverage for driving your personal vehicle to and from various community locations.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the needs of individuals (minors and adults) by coordinating services.
  • Initiate and complete intake assessments, including interviewing prospective new individuals and their family members to determine needed services.
  • Organize schedules and appointments.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with all key stakeholders (individuals, parents, conservators, agencies, employers, etc.).
  • Complete daily case notes, quarterly progress reports, and share recommendations to the Individual’s Service Plan.
  • Advocate for the Individual in court proceedings as part of the Judicial Intervention and Diversion Compliance Program.
  • Assist in building community partnerships to enhance available resources for the Program.
  • Participate in all required training, team, and company meetings.
  • Take ownership of personal behaviors and coach others in demonstrating company C.A.R.E. values (compassion, adaptability, respect, and empowerment).
