About The Position

As the Assistant Director for the Community Support Services (CSS) Program, you will play a leadership role in delivering recovery-focused interventions that support rehabilitation goals across the eight dimensions of wellness. You will teach skills using evidence-based practices such as Illness Management and Recovery, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Strategies, directly in the community. Demonstrates competency in delivering Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Universal Substance Abuse Screening, effectively engaging individuals served through engagement, assessment, and intervention. The Assistant Director of CSS engages in advocacy, facilitates service linkages, and fosters community integration for individuals enrolled in the program. You will support the development of daily living and social skills, complete rehabilitation assessments and plans, and provide crisis intervention when necessary. Under clinical supervision, you will contribute to programmatic oversight, ensure adherence to regulations, lead quality improvement efforts, facilitate administrative processes (including representative payee funds), and support in-field supervision and staff training. You'll also participate in team and clinical review meetings to coordinate care.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a human service discipline (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Counseling)
  • Active New Jersey licensure: LAC, LAMFT, or LSW
  • One year of supervisory experience
  • Two years of experience in mental health or behavioral health
  • Knowledge of community resources and agencies
  • Possession of a valid New Jersey driver's license with a clean five-year driving record that meets organizational standards and qualifies for insurance coverage.

  • Willingness to work a flexible 40-hour schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and participation in an on-call rotation
