About The Position
The Community Support Professional provides direct intensive community treatment to individuals with behavioral health diagnoses served by the Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACT). Working as part of the ACT team, the professional helps ensure services and resources are coordinated among providers as needed so individuals served can live and participate optimally in the community.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related human services field.
- At least one year of experience working in a setting with individuals with disabilities, mental health needs, substance use, or developmental disabilities.
- Must be registered with the Virginia Board of Counseling as a QMHP, or be considered as a QMHP-T.
- Must maintain QMHP status and complete all required trainings and continuing education units (CEUs).
