About The Position

The Community Support Associate (CSA) role involves helping consumers engage in activities within the community, aligning with the objectives of their individualized treatment plans. This includes providing homework assistance, enforcing behavior management plans, and collaborating with supervisors to develop and enhance CSA services. The role also requires researching and outlining service programs, attending training and supervisions, and exploring outcome management methods tied to billable services. Additionally, responsibilities include updating client paperwork, timely completion of medical records documentation, and meeting with interdisciplinary teams. A key requirement is successfully completing a department-led or approved training program within six months of hire.

Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma or General equivalency diploma (GED).
  • Have one year of full-time experience working with individuals who receive services for treatment of a mental health disorder or co-occurring disorder.
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
  • Ability to transport children (in Company vehicles) to activities.
  • Must successfully pass criminal records check and urine drug screen.
  • Must be certified in CPR (or get Certification upon hire).

  • Capable of participating in recreational activities to meet the needs of children.

Responsibilities

  • Help the consumer to engage in activities in and around the community in conjunction with the objectives in the youth(s) individualized treatment plan.
  • Provides assistance with homework to ensure completion and accuracy.
  • Enforce behavior management plan as may be outlined in the medical record.
  • Work with supervisors to develop, recruit CSA staff and enhance CSA services.
  • Research and outline a program of service that combines home therapy and Trauma Focused CBT.
  • Attend training and supervisions.
  • Research method of outcome management that can be tied to billable services across the BH and SA system and tracked using computer technology.
  • Update yearly paperwork as needed on existing clients who are medication management only.
  • Timely completion of medical records documentation as required.
  • Meet with an interdisciplinary team around consumers as needed.
  • Successfully complete within 6 months of hire the department led or approved training program.
