Provide health-related tasks under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, ensuring participant safety and accepted standards of care. Assist participants with medical equipment and self-administered medication. Assess, record, and report participant conditions, including vital signs and signs of discomfort. Support nutritional and fluid intake, documenting preferences and notifying nurses. Establish positive rapport and ensure confidentiality. Provide supervision, companionship, and care to individuals with physical and/or cognitive impairments, assisting in socialization and recreational activities. Requires knowledge of medical instruments, common safety hazards, and organizational policies. Must be able to react calmly and effectively in emergencies and communicate clearly. May perform ambulation and transfer activities under direction.
