About The Position

The Eastvale Community Safety Department encompasses services for Code Enforcement, Waste and Recycling, Emergency Management, and oversight of city contracts with the Riverside County Sheriff, Riverside County Fire (Cal-Fire), Waste Management, and Riverside County Animal Control. The Community Safety Department focuses on the safety and accessibility of residents by providing for the highest safety and quality of life standards in Eastvale. Requirements

Two (2) years of college course work at an accredited college or university and current enrollment as a college student, OR graduation from a four (4) year accredited college or university with major course work in Public or Business Administration, or an area related to the Intern position to be assigned.
Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of relevant training, education, experience and writing skills as presented in the application, resume, cover letter and supplemental questions.
A background investigation including, LIVESCAN fingerprinting and verification of previous employment.
Applicants will be required to submit verification of the legal right to work in the United States.
Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment letter, applicants are required to complete a drug and/or alcohol test at the time of their pre-employment physical.
All employees are required by law to sign a loyalty oath to the United States and the State of California Constitution at time of hire.
