About The Position

This position is responsible for the prevention program and supervising the Community Resource Specialists. This position will oversee four total CRS’s; two CRS are co-located at Pinellas County Sheriff office and two CRS’s co-located at Pasco County Sheriff Office. This individual will maintain program fidelity; ensure policy and procedure compliance and monitor data trends and standards. This position will organize and coordinate meetings and trainings with appropriate community partners. They will be responsible for initial referral reviews for child safety concerns and making sound safety decisions; ie. Assess referrals for psychosocial behavior, child safety risks, and environmental factors in order to make appropriate case assignments. Comprehend and analyze data from FSFN database, review quarterly audit results and ensure that corrective action plans are completed and implemented to maintain child safety. They will make certain that community partners receive needed support from the Community Resource Specialists. The incumbent will be highly organized, detail oriented and flexible, working efficiently in an environment filled with interruptions and crisis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Social Work, Psychology or Human Services from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Proven combination of education and experience which demonstrates the ability to lead, manage, enhance and promote the assigned programs of the agency.
  • Three years of responsible experience in monitoring and evaluating prevention programs may be substituted for a Master’s degree.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with community members, peers and supervisors.

  • Maintain Confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of Florida Statutes pertaining to Child Welfare.
  • Knowledge of Family Dynamics.
  • Knowledge of Best Practices as it relates to Family Preservation and Child Safety.
  • Knowledge of Social Worker principles, techniques, and practices and their application to complex case work, group work, and community problems.
  • Knowledge of Laws, regulations, and policies which govern all Child Welfare programs.
  • Knowledge of Child Protection process and issues.
  • Clear a Level II Background screening (Live Scan) in which your fingerprints will be used to conduct the screening.
  • Clear a reference check
  • Clear a local background check from the County in which you reside
  • Clear a substance abuse screen
  • Provide a copy of all degrees prior to your first day of employment
  • Clear a Motor Vehicles Records check and must be insurable under the company’s automobile policy.
  • Provide copy of automobile insurance.
  • Provide proof of and maintain a minimum personal auto liability insurance level $100,000/$300,000 if deemed to be a driving risk.
  • Clear an E-Verify check to substantiate that the successful candidate meets the Department of Homeland Security authorization requirements to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Community Resource Specialist positions.
  • Complete probation and annual performance evaluations, includes coaching, training and shadowing as well as employee growth.
  • Supervise grants and special projects
  • Attend all required case staffing’s, trainings, meetings etc.
  • Maintain Program Fidelity through case consultations, review policy and procedure, training needs, audits, and corrective action plans.
  • Review all Intakes and assign to CRS to refer to appropriate programs/resources
  • Create and implement new programs to enhance and expand current services.
  • Other duties as assigned
