About The Position

McLean Hospital Corporation Mass General Brigham is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing patient care, research, teaching, and community service. McLean Naukeag is a 30-bed, two-week residential treatment program within the Division of Alcohol, Drugs, and Addiction. This per diem position is located in Belmont, MA. The Community Residence Counselor (CRC), under the direction of the Program Director and Nurse Manager, is responsible for providing direct patient care and participating in the therapeutic milieu within the scope of defined practice.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Medication Administration Program Certified [MAP - Massachusetts] - Massachusetts Department of Public Health required
Basic computer skills to use a variety of electronic or online systems (PRISM) for communication, clinical and administrative purposes.
Time Management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Maintains a commitment to professional growth and competency.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study preferred
One-year patient care or related experience preferred, preferably in a psychiatric setting
Familiarity with Epic preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care through group and individual counseling in accordance with current treatment plan.
Works effectively to manage the therapeutic milieu.
Supervises patients in taking medication as prescribed.
Assists patients in their activities of daily living.
Maintains a commitment to professional growth and competency.
