About The Position

FirstLight Home Care provides premium in-home care that helps older adults remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes. We pride ourselves on exceptional caregivers, responsive communication, and building lasting relationships throughout the communities we serve. We're looking for an outgoing, relationship-driven professional who enjoys networking, educating others, and making meaningful community connections. This is not a desk job. You'll spend most of your time in the community building relationships that generate referrals and private-pay clients. The Community Relations & Business Development Representative is responsible for developing referral partnerships and increasing awareness of FirstLight Home Care throughout Sacramento and Solano Counties. Success in this role is measured by relationships built, referral sources activated, community visibility, and ultimately private-pay client growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new referral partnerships
  • Meet with hospitals, Skilled nursing facilities, Assisted living communities, Independent living communities, Rehabilitation centers, Hospice agencies, Home Health agencies, Physicians, Concierge medical practices, Senior placement agencies, Estate planning attorneys, Financial planners, Senior centers, Churches, Community organizations
  • Attend health fairs, Senior expos, Farmers markets, Chamber events, Networking mixers, Community resource fairs, Educational seminars
  • Maintain ongoing communication with referral partners through weekly visits, phone calls, email follow-up, lunch-and-learns, caregiver appreciation events, and educational presentations
  • Deliver marketing materials
  • Maintain referral database/CRM
  • Track leads
  • Track conversions
  • Coordinate community events
  • Identify new marketing opportunities
  • Weekly reports including referral visits completed, new contacts added, follow-up appointments, referrals received, referrals converted, community events attended, and next week's goals
