About The Position

This position assists in the development and implementation of community outreach programs, children's programs, and facility operations. The role involves facilitating community programs, assisting with summer day camps, preparing and serving meals and snacks, and supporting Harvester deliveries. Additionally, the aide will perform Christmas duties, participate in youth leadership training and mentorship, and maintain facility cleanliness and general upkeep.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum one year working with people of all ages and backgrounds in a structured program setting
  • Ability to relate to children and adults and exhibit a positive leadership example
  • Ability to participate in physical recreation activities
  • Ability to work independently and on a set schedule
  • Ability to perform duties reliably and timely
  • Ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner
  • Valid driver's license from the state in which the employee resides
  • Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business
