About The Position

As a Community Porter at their FLATZ 487 site in Jarrell, TX, you will be instrumental in maintaining the cleanliness, curb appeal, and overall appearance of the apartment community. This role is essential for enhancing resident satisfaction by ensuring common areas, amenities, and outdoor spaces remain clean, safe, and welcoming. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in creating a well-maintained environment, enjoy working independently, and thrive in an outdoor, hands-on role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in groundskeeping, janitorial services, or general maintenance is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and landscaping practices
  • General handyman or maintenance skills with tools and minor repairs
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Eligible to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of common areas, including the leasing office, clubhouse, fitness center, laundry room, mail areas, and pool areas
  • Conduct regular trash pickup across property grounds and around dumpsters
  • Sweep, pressure wash, and blow breezeways, sidewalks, stairwells, and parking lots
  • Assist with basic landscaping tasks such as weeding, raking, and watering
  • Prepare vacant apartments for move-in by removing trash, debris, and cleaning patios
  • Support the maintenance team with minor tasks (e.g., changing bulbs, unclogging drains, event setup)
  • Report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or suspicious activity promptly
  • Maintain and properly store tools and supplies to ensure safety and readiness
  • Promote and follow safe work practices in compliance with regulations and company policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support community operations
