This role involves reviewing and interpreting medication orders, ensuring accurate prescription input, and taking appropriate action to resolve medication-related issues. The pharmacist will manage medication stock, process documents, and provide immunizations. A key aspect of the role is ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding medication dispensing and record maintenance. The position requires excellent communication and interaction skills with patients, employees, and family members, staying current with pharmacy trends, and providing mandatory patient counseling. The pharmacist will focus on customer satisfaction, proactively addressing patient needs and concerns, and referring unresolved issues to the supervisor. Additionally, the role includes supervising support personnel, maintaining proficiency with pharmacy systems, understanding regulatory policies, managing third-party billing, completing financial reports, and possessing knowledge of 340B regulations and pharmacy equipment. Service excellence and performing other assigned duties, including on-call duty, are expected.
