About The Position
We are seeking a passionate and proactive Community Outreach Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the bridge between our organization and the community, building relationships, increasing awareness of our programs, and supporting engagement initiatives that strengthen our mission and impact. The role includes reimbursement for gas and toll costs.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in community outreach, advocacy, or similar roles.
- Strong communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trust and maintain long-term professional relationships.
- Experience working with diverse communities and stakeholder groups.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple outreach activities.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office
- Willingness to travel locally for community events and meetings.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners and local groups across Virginia.
- Represent the organization at community meetings and requiring regular travel to various VA locations.
- Support individuals seeking services by providing information, resources, and referrals as needed.
- Coordinate outreach activities, track engagement data, and prepare reports to measure impact.
