The Community Outreach Specialist will provide program orientations, WorkinTexas.com registrations, one-on-one or small group setting workshops and program presentations. Eligibility for WIOA could be verified to educate participants on the program and services available. Provide screening for program eligibility and job search assistance. Prioritize assignments and recognize the need to adjust or adapt within a group setting or deliver one-on-one services. Interact with job seekers to ensure appropriate matches with employers’ needs and job postings. Ensure data entry, documentation, tracking and reporting are completed in a timely manner. Support team with program workshops, including but not limited to interviewing skills, resume writing, and job search techniques. Facilitate orientations and presentations for workforce center services on a consistent basis. Travel from site to site and between workforce centers as needed. Coordinate and communicate timely and professionally with community organizations. Serve as point of contact for customers interested in youth workforce services. Flexibility to co-locate within community based and non-profit organizations to provide workforce services to participants and/or families on-site.
