About The Position

Provides general program and clerical support to the Community Outreach Programs Manager for the seasonal programs operated out of the Distribution Center.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum two years of related work experience/warehouse experience.
  • ServSafe certification (for Feed the Kids program).
  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license with clearance to drive from TSA’s insurance is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Some post high school educational experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a physical presence to lend support during the preparation of meals for the summer Feed the Kids program; the registration for and distribution of toys during Toy Shop; the donation and distribution of coats during Coats for Kids and the assembly and distribution of backpacks.
  • Gathers seasonal program statistics, completes monthly statistical reports and submits this statistical information to the office of the Milwaukee County Social Services Director and Community Outreach Programs Manager.
  • Assists in providing oversight for the sorting and record keeping of program donations.
  • Ensures pictures are taken for the various seasonal program functions and events, and gathers stories to be shared with Community Relations.
  • Active engagement with and supervision of volunteers.
  • Provides clerical support for the Community Outreach Programs Manager, including scheduling and coordinating of team meetings, filing, data entry, preparing reports, etc.
  • Provides logistical support and maintains physical presence at any distribution center events.
