The Community Outreach and Education Specialists will conduct outreach with and provide education to community organizations who likely encounter victims of human trafficking and the services CHNJ has available for victims. They will also support the Resource Specialists in the initial meetings with recovered victims with the intention of increasing victims’ receptiveness to services. Through street work and community relations the Specialists will identify, engage and assist potential victims of human trafficking with absolute respect and unconditional love. Specialists will target communities with large groups of populations disproportionately impacted by human trafficking and exploitation and locations connected to sectors where labor trafficking often occurs. As a component of street outreach efforts, Specialists will educate individuals at-risk of trafficking on workers’ and victims’ rights.
