About The Position

The Community Outreach Coordinator serves as a key community ambassador for Bi-Bett Corporation and its Residential Perinatal Treatment Program. This role focuses on developing and maintaining relationships with a variety of community partners, including healthcare providers, hospitals, OB/GYN offices, behavioral health organizations, county agencies, social service organizations, shelters, and family resource centers. The primary responsibilities include increasing awareness of Bi-Bett services, cultivating referral relationships, educating community partners, representing the organization at outreach events, and identifying opportunities to improve access to residential substance use disorder treatment for pregnant and parenting women. The ideal candidate is someone who excels at building relationships, communicates effectively, is a self-starter, and is passionate about connecting the community to treatment and recovery resources for women and families.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two years of experience in community outreach, behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, healthcare, social services, marketing, public relations, sales, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and referral sources.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, networking, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to conduct professional presentations and communicate comfortably with individuals and groups.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, identify opportunities, and follow through on commitments.
  • Professional judgment and ability to maintain appropriate boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation for local community outreach.
  • Ability to travel locally to meetings, referral agencies, community events, healthcare providers, and partner organizations.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, social services, public health, communications, business, marketing, human services, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a substance use disorder or behavioral health treatment program.
  • Experience working with pregnant or parenting women and families.
  • Experience developing referral relationships with hospitals, healthcare providers, county agencies, behavioral health organizations, or social service agencies.
  • Knowledge of California’s substance use disorder treatment and behavioral health systems.
  • Established relationships with healthcare, behavioral health, social service, or community organizations.
  • Experience with community presentations, public speaking, health fairs, networking events, or coalition activities.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
  • CADTP registration or another applicable behavioral health/SUD credential.
  • Experience using electronic databases, CRM systems, EHR systems, Microsoft Office, or similar technology.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with hospitals, healthcare providers, OB/GYN offices, county agencies, behavioral health providers, social service organizations, shelters, family resource centers, and other organizations serving pregnant and parenting women.
  • Represent Bi-Bett and the Residential Perinatal Treatment Program at community meetings, health fairs, conferences, resource fairs, coalition meetings, networking events, and other outreach activities.
  • Conduct regular outreach, networking, and follow-up activities to strengthen existing partnerships and identify new referral opportunities.
  • Develop collaborative relationships that support participant needs, including healthcare, housing, transportation, childcare, employment, education, family support, and social services.
  • Participate in professional networking organizations and community coalitions and identify opportunities for collaborative programs, referral agreements, and community initiatives.
  • Promote awareness of the Residential Perinatal Treatment Program and educate referral sources regarding eligibility, services, admission procedures, and referral processes.
  • Develop and implement outreach strategies designed to increase appropriate referrals and maintain consistent communication with referral partners.
  • Coordinate with admissions and program staff regarding referral opportunities, program availability, referral trends, and barriers to accessing treatment.
  • Conduct professional presentations and provide accurate information regarding SUD treatment, recovery, perinatal services, Bi-Bett programs, and community resources.
  • Develop and distribute approved outreach materials and assist with community education campaigns and special outreach initiatives.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource regarding Bi-Bett services and available community resources.
  • Work closely with the Program Director, Clinical Director, counselors, case managers, admissions staff, and other Bi-Bett departments to coordinate outreach and referral activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach contacts, presentations, meetings, community partnerships, referral sources, and referral activity.
  • Provide regular reports regarding outreach activities, referral development, community partnerships, and opportunities for program growth.
  • Track referral trends and identify communities, organizations, or populations requiring additional outreach.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and Bi-Bett confidentiality requirements.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and represent Bi-Bett Corporation positively and professionally within the community.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
