Civic Works’ Energy Programs aim to make solar energy and energy efficiency upgrades accessible and affordable for residents in Baltimore City and Central Maryland. These programs help residents of all income levels reduce their energy bills, improve home comfort and safety, and contribute positively to the environment. As a key part of Civic Works’ job training center, these initiatives also provide pathways to careers in the clean energy sector. Civic Works' green initiatives have received recognition from prominent publications and organizations. The Community Outreach Coordinator will be crucial in ensuring an equitable clean energy transition, focusing on bringing the benefits of the green economy to historically marginalized communities in Central Maryland, particularly Howard County. This role involves direct engagement with residents through outreach and education at community events in Howard County to significantly increase participation in free and subsidized home energy efficiency and solar energy programs. The Coordinator will also foster partnerships with local Howard County organizations to disseminate information about Civic Works programs through trusted community networks. Responsibilities include tracking outreach activities, partnerships, and client interactions in Salesforce for impact assessment and funder reporting.
