About The Position

CBI Health is Canada's leading community healthcare provider with a national interdisciplinary network of over 2,500 healthcare staff and professionals. They are committed to innovating services for better client recovery and support. CBI Health focuses on a client-first approach, with a diverse healthcare team working collaboratively to address all aspects of a client's life, aiming for data-driven solutions and improved health outcomes. The Community Rehabilitation Services team operates across Ontario, treating clients with mental stress injuries and those affected by motor vehicle accidents, with the goal of returning them to pre-accident function. Within the Traumatic Psychological Injury program, Occupational Therapists work with clients like first responders, conducting in-vivo exposure therapy, behavioral activation, and facilitating trauma processing. This program utilizes innovative, evidence-based interventions, including virtual reality, to achieve industry-leading mental health outcomes and allows OTs to specialize in a niche area. In the Complex Auto program, OTs assess and treat clients with physical, cognitive (TBIs, concussions), and psychosocial impairments resulting from motor vehicle accidents. This involves in-home and hospital discharge assessments, ergonomic assessments, concussion and cognitive rehabilitation, and mental health treatment, offering 'start to finish care'. OTs can choose to focus on one area or manage a mixed caseload.
