About The Position

Wild Card Creative Group is looking for a part-time freelance Community Manager to support social-first entertainment campaigns across film, streaming, television, and pop culture brands. This role is built for someone deeply online in the best way possible. Someone who instinctively understands fandom behavior, platform culture, and how audiences actually talk on the internet. You’ll help manage and grow communities for entertainment properties by engaging directly with fans, supporting content publishing, monitoring conversations in real time, and helping brands show up authentically across social platforms. From premiere nights and trailer launches to meme-worthy cultural moments, you’ll help keep our clients part of the conversation. The ideal candidate has experience managing entertainment or pop culture-focused social accounts, thrives in fast-moving environments, and understands how to balance brand voice with platform-native engagement. You should be equally comfortable writing clever replies, spotting trending moments, coordinating with internal creative teams, and helping maintain organized publishing workflows.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in social media or community management, ideally within entertainment, streaming, gaming, music, or pop culture
  • Strong understanding of platform-native behavior across TikTok, Instagram, X, Threads, Reddit, YouTube, and emerging social spaces
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to adapt to different brand voices quickly
  • Deep familiarity with internet culture, fandom behavior, memes, and digital conversation trends
  • Experience with social publishing and analytics tools such as Sprout and Meltwater, native platform tools, or similar
  • Ability to multitask across multiple campaigns and shifting priorities
  • Organized, collaborative, and proactive communicator
  • Comfortable working flexible hours during major launches, live events, or campaign moments
  • Passion for entertainment, storytelling, and social-first creative work

Responsibilities

  • Act as an active voice for entertainment and media brands across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, X, and Threads
  • Engage directly with fans in a way that feels timely, authentic, and aligned to each project’s tone and fandom
  • Monitor social conversations, trends, comments, tags, and DMs during active campaign windows
  • Conduct regular page sweeps and surface notable community conversations or emerging fan sentiment to internal teams
  • Support live social coverage during premieres, events, launches, and major cultural moments
  • Assist with scheduling and publishing social content across multiple accounts
  • Ensure posts are accurately published according to approved calendars and platform specifications
  • Collaborate with producers, creatives, strategists, and designers to support social rollouts
  • Flag missing assets, approvals, or publishing needs proactively to maintain smooth workflows
  • Help optimize posts for platform-native performance and engagement
  • Stay tapped into entertainment culture, trending conversations, fandom spaces, and emerging platform behaviors
  • Identify reactive opportunities, memes, and audience trends that could inspire real-time content or engagement
  • Assist with basic reporting and community insights using native analytics or social tools
  • Contribute ideas during brainstorms and social ideation sessions
