The Community Manager is the face of the property, the leader of the team, and the on-site representative of The Dinerstein Companies. This individual is responsible for both the successful performance of the property and the success of the on-site management and maintenance team. They will recruit, mentor, and coach team members to ensure policies and procedures are performed as defined, and develop the team by ensuring they have the appropriate training and resources needed to excel. The Community Manager will address and resolve customer service concerns in a timely and professional manner, promote a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and teamwork, and ensure that daily tasks and follow-ups are completed and documented, while maintaining a high energy and professional demeanor. In collaboration with the Portfolio Director, corporate support teams, and on-site team members, the Community Manager is responsible for ensuring the continued financial performance of the property. This includes managing on-site revenue and expenses to plan and providing explanations for monthly financial variances, maximizing income opportunities through strategic pricing and ancillary opportunities, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiencies in operational expenses. They will proactively implement solutions when occupancy falls below budgeted levels. The Community Manager is ultimately responsible for the state of the property’s administrative processes, physical upkeep, and resident satisfaction. As the leader of the on-site management and maintenance team, the Community Manager should be knowledgeable about all facets of the property’s operations and maintenance. They will ensure digital and physical lease files are accurate, complete, and organized, and accurately account for all daily, weekly, and monthly reporting. They will maintain property appearance and identify opportunities to implement preventative maintenance procedures, conduct regular community inspections and tours along with the maintenance staff, and support maintenance operations by insuring timely and efficient repairs and an organized make-ready process.
