Community Manager (CONTRACT)
About The Position
Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is the company behind the PlayStation brand, a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation. SIE is a dynamic technology company delivering cutting-edge hardware and network services, and an entertainment leader with beloved intellectual properties. Bend Studio, renowned creator of Days Gone, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, and Syphon Filter, is seeking a Community Manager to join their team in crafting their next high-profile AAA title. This role involves executing marketing and social strategies to support the game and its players, acting as the studio's voice to incentivize long-term retention, creating engaging content to shape public-facing channels, and driving daily engagement with players. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, creativity, and a passion for games to represent both players and the studio. This position is a 12-month contract through staffing partner Yoh Enterprise Solutions and is eligible for full remote work.
Requirements
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Community Manager or related field.
- Strong understanding of community and social media engagement in the video game industry.
- Strong collaboration skills with a commitment to positive team culture.
- Ability to act quickly in a fast-paced environment to meet various deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledgeable in various platforms including Discord, TikTok, X, Instagram, and Twitch.
- Must love games and have a passion for creating them!
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States for this position.
Responsibilities
- Engage with the community daily through our official social media channels.
- Actively stay on current trends that relate to our brand and games to create engaging and original content.
- Collaborate effectively with Marketing, PR, and Product to execute social strategies and community initiatives.
- Partner with prominent community members.
- Develop strategies to help our social media channels grow and convert community members to community leaders.
- Moderate player discussions online and escalate appropriate action internally.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for our players across all spaces.
