About The Position

Donaldson, a recognized leader in multifamily property management across the DC/MD/VA region, is looking for a dynamic and driven Community Manager for North Pointe Apartments, a 235-unit residential apartment community in Hyattsville, MD. As Community Manager, you'll oversee leasing, maintenance, finances, compliance, and your on-site team — setting the tone for service, performance, and culture every day.

Requirements

3–5 years of residential property management experience, including team supervision
Strong financial acumen — comfortable owning a budget and explaining variances
Bilingual preferred (Spanish/ English)
Proficiency in Yardi, Microsoft Excel, and Word
Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Professional appearance
Some weekend availability required

Responsibilities

Lead, train, and develop your on-site leasing and maintenance team
Drive occupancy through effective leasing strategies, marketing, and resident retention
Own the property budget — manage expenses, review financials, and minimize delinquency
Deliver an exceptional resident experience from move-in through move-out
Oversee unit turnovers, property inspections, and maintenance quality standards
Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws, local regulations, and company policies
Maintain accurate records and reporting in Yardi
Resolve escalated resident concerns promptly and professionally
