Community Manager (Ascend at Kierland)
About The Position
Mark-Taylor is hiring a Community Manager (also referred to as Manager of Community Operations) for Ascend at Kierland in Scottsdale, Arizona. The role is responsible for the operational and financial performance of the community, leading administrative and service personnel, and maintaining the property while delivering five-star service. The position includes setting rent rates, managing operating expenses, monitoring delinquency, preparing and reviewing monthly financial reports, and developing forecasts and plans for asset performance. The manager also coaches and develops team members, oversees hiring and employee performance management, conducts property inspections, and plans and executes property enhancements.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of people management experience.
- At least 2 years as a property manager in a luxury multifamily setting.
- Demonstrated coaching and employee development ability.
- Financial acumen and high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills and professional presence.
- Basic understanding of written and verbal English.
Nice To Haves
- BA degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience using Resman, Yardi, or similar platforms is especially desirable.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed revenue expectations by setting rent rates, managing operating expenses, and monitoring aged delinquency.
- Prepare and review monthly financial reports, provide forecasting, and develop plans for the asset’s financial performance.
- Coach, mentor, and inspire administrative and service personnel; coordinate their activities and individual goals through tactical planning.
- Oversee hiring and ongoing employee performance management, including courageous conversations and applicable HR processes.
- Conduct regular property inspections and propose, plan, and execute property enhancements.
- Contribute to community upkeep and provide five-star service.
