Community Manager

Havenpark Communities•Chesterfield Township, MI
•Onsite

About The Position

The Community Manager runs the full operation of a 798-homesite manufactured home community, with responsibility for financial performance, collections, leasing and occupancy, vendors, a small on-site team, and residents’ day-to-day experience. The role is described as similar to running a small business, with meaningful decision-making authority and accountability for results. The position combines financial management and people leadership. The Community Manager handles collections and related conversations respectfully and in compliance with the law; drives occupancy and leasing; and approves applicants entering through the resident home-sale process. At Selling Community Manager communities, the manager also sells a limited number of homes and earns commission on each sale. The manager oversees landscaping, maintenance, and home-rehabilitation contractors, leads the on-site team, and builds relationships with residents. The role can involve difficult conversations about money and, rarely, lawful evictions. The community continues to require attention on weekends. This is an on-site position. Havenpark describes its culture as fun, rewarding, and inclusive, and names Respect, Grit, Collaboration, Stewardship, and Boldness as its core values.
