About The Position

This internship program aims to provide students with hands-on experience in a retail store setting, focusing on customer experience, store operations, and personal development. Interns will learn to deliver exceptional customer service, manage store operations, and contribute to team projects, culminating in a presentation to leadership. The program also includes exposure to financial and performance data analysis, asset protection, and compliance with local regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be a student beginning or completing Senior year towards a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (Except in Puerto Rico).
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.

  • Knowledge of store inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an extraordinary customer experience in a retail store setting.
  • Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash handling.
  • Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance.
  • Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
  • Register all sales accurately and manage associated records.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and liquidation.
  • Assist with the evaluation and development of product displays and promotions.
  • Complete resets and revisions for store merchandise.
  • Engage in weekly meetings with store or pharmacy managers.
  • Perform basic department pricing and ensure proper signage.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations for regulated products.
  • Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean and orderly store condition.
  • Assist with proper food item separation and product placement.
  • Assist in stock rotation using the first-in, first-out method and restocking outs.
  • Gain working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
  • Receive exposure to financial, performance, and asset protection data analysis.
  • Work as a group to complete the Intern Team Challenge and present to leaders.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships.
  • Complete an evaluation of the internship program upon completion.
  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
  • Attend training and complete E-learnings and special assignments.
  • Shadow a district leader for a specified time.
  • Report customer complaints to management.
  • Assist Store Manager in planning and attending community events.
