About The Position

This internship program aims to provide students with hands-on experience in retail store operations and customer service. Interns will learn to deliver an extraordinary customer experience, handle various customer transactions, and gain exposure to store management tasks. The program includes learning about inventory management, visual merchandising, and compliance with local regulations. Interns will also participate in team challenges and present their findings to leadership.

Requirements

Student beginning or completing Senior year towards a Bachelor’s degree
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

Provide an extraordinary customer experience in a retail store setting.
Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops.
Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
Register all related sales on assigned cash register.
Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics.
Analyze inventory trends and supervise inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and liquidating stock.
Assist with evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise.
Complete resets and revisions.
Engage in weekly meetings with store manager or pharmacy manager.
Responsible for basic department pricing and making daily price changes; ensure proper signage is displayed.
Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance.
Assist with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures.
Assist in stock rotation, using the first in, first out method and restock outs.
Gain working knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
Receive exposure to the analysis of financial & performance data for the store, pharmacy and clinic.
Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
Work as a group to complete the Intern Team Challenge and present to area, district and store leaders.
Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete evaluation of internship program upon completion.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Attend training and complete E-learnings and special assignments requested by Manager.
Shadow district leader for the specified time.
Report customer complaints to management.
Assist Store Manager in planning and attending community events.
