About The Position
Gaines Investment Trust is seeking a Community Maintenance Technician for the Country Club at Valley View Apartments. This role is ideal for individuals interested in a hands-on career in property management, particularly those who are mechanically inclined, enjoy troubleshooting and fixing things, and take pride in their work. Experience in construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, facilities maintenance, or other skilled trades can provide a strong foundation. Nice To Haves
- Previous apartment maintenance experience
- Previous experience in apartment maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, construction, facilities maintenance, or a related skilled trade is a plus
Responsibilities
- Completing resident service requests promptly and professionally
- Troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and other apartment systems
- Performing general repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the community
- Preparing vacant apartments for new residents, including completing repairs and ensuring homes are move-in ready
- Inspecting apartments, common areas, and building systems for maintenance needs
- Assisting with the upkeep of community amenities, grounds, and common areas
- Identifying and reporting maintenance or safety concerns
- Maintaining tools, equipment, supplies, and work areas
- Providing professional and courteous service when interacting with residents
- Working closely with the onsite team to keep the community operating at a high standard
