About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting new and existing Team Members in becoming familiar with Tyson and accessing community services such as housing, schools, medical services, and social services as needed. The role involves acting as a mediator with these agencies, providing interpreter and translator services, serving as a liaison between the community and the facility, and representing the company positively with community leaders. Additionally, the Community Liaison will assist in Human Resources duties as required by the HR Manager.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in HR or Public Relations preferred.
2 plus years of experience with Tyson's public relations or social service experience preferred.
Standard computer skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpreter and translator skills (English/Marshallese).
May be required to manage office staff and assist HR Manager.

Responsibilities

Act as mediator when required with community agencies.
Provide interpreter and translator services as needed (English/Marshallese).
Act as liaison between the community and the facility.
Represent the company in a positive manner with community leaders.
Assist in Human Resources duties as required by the HR Manager.
Work with nursing to provide translation services and attend doctor's appointments with Team Members when necessary.
Liaise in the community, working with local schools and other area resources to ease team members' transitions to our community.
Develop and create community events for all Team Members, including an annual fair to make team members aware of community resources.
Work with community experts and Chaplain to provide educational classes such as financial education, child care, and life skills.
Organize on or off-site ESL classes for Marshallese and Spanish team members.
Work with new applicants to complete the application and onboarding process.
