Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years’ relevant banking experience preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in commercial underwriting, demonstrating expertise in assessing and managing credit risk.
  • Experience with application analysis and technology enhancements.
  • Ability to orchestrate organizational resources by identifying key players, communicating relevant information, and building collaborative client-focused relationships.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven track record of successful sales performance with strong business development skills.
  • Ability to interact with executive management, board members, clients, and team members at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate technology enhancements aligned with changing business needs.
  • Create and foster partnerships with internal stakeholders to develop a solid knowledge base of the business, including needs and opportunities specifically related to application/IT platform solutions.
  • Formulate and define scope and objectives for changes through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of business systems and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies for lending and investment to low- and moderate-income and underserved communities through direct commercial or small business lending.
  • Support key Relationship Managers in lending within ONB’s underwriting requirements.
  • Partner with ONB’s Community Development & Outreach team to identify, develop, and maintain relationships with community partners.
  • Drive Innovation: Facilitate technology enhancements to keep pace with changing business requirements and industry standards.
  • Enhance Collaboration: Foster strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs and opportunities.
  • Engage with executive and market leadership to establish and execute appropriate activities, tactics, and strategies to identify and pursue new business development opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to support lending and investment strategies.
