About The Position

Centra Credit Union is seeking a Part-Time Community Involvement Associate in Columbus, Indiana. This role supports the coordination, execution, and visibility of the Credit Union’s community engagement initiatives. The Associate will assist in administering community programs, volunteer involvement, Select Employer Groups (SEG), business development activities, and social media storytelling to enhance relationships with Members, Team Members, and the community. The position ensures community initiatives are well-planned, impactful, and aligned with Centra's mission and brand. Centra offers competitive compensation, with a starting wage of $20 per hour, and a comprehensive benefits package for eligible positions. Spanish/English interpreters may be eligible for an interpreting differential.

Requirements

High School Diploma
A minimum of one year up to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience

Responsibilities

Coordinates Team Member participation for events, prepares materials, and represents Centra as needed.
Manages volunteer hour tracking, recognition efforts, and prize distribution to celebrate Team Member involvement.
Coordinates community service projects and volunteer events that support Centra’s mission of People Helping People.
Documents and reports Centra’s community impact activities while supporting the planning, coordination, and organization of community programs and events.
Collaborates with the Brand Experience team to create, monitor, and schedule social media content that highlights Centra’s community involvement.
Communicates volunteer stories that highlight the positive contributions of Centra Team Members.
Assists in evaluating partnership opportunities with local organizations to strengthen Centra’s presence in the communities we serve.
