About The Position

Neighborly Communities is seeking a part-time Community Host to join our team at Koz on State! Our mission is to build an outward, disciplined, and data-informed corporate culture where market/site selection, design, development, construction, and property/asset management are all perfectly aligned to deliver a best-in-class human experience to the Oregon, Washington, and Utah multi-family markets. The Community Host supports the resident experience across assigned Neighborly Communities properties by fostering connection, engagement, and a welcoming community environment. This role focuses on resident interaction, event support, and visible on-site presence that enhances community culture and supports on-site teams. The Community Host may float between multiple communities based on operational needs and works under the direction of the Community Manager, with functional oversight from the Regional Director of Operations.

  • Awareness of resident engagement trends, community programming ideas, and evolving practices within the multi-family housing industry, with the ability to share observations and ideas with on-site leadership
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior customer service, hospitality, retail, or community-facing experience preferred
  • Fair Housing certification.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a welcoming, professional, and approachable on-site presence for residents
  • Engage residents through informal interactions that promote connection and belonging
  • Assist with the planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of resident events and activities
  • Support event logistics, including sign-ins, materials, food setup, and décor
  • Encourage resident participation and engagement during community events
  • Assist with move-in welcomes and community milestones as directed
  • Support the distribution of community communications, flyers, or event notices
  • Help maintain the appearance of shared community spaces during events (light straightening only)
  • Communicate resident feedback, questions, or observations to the Community Manager
  • Escalate concerns appropriately and maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
  • Maintain regular and reliable on-site/in-office attendance according to the attendance policy outlined in the personnel manual
  • Embrace the principles of the Outward Mindset
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by management
