Specific tasks include making regular rounds, observing patient’s/resident’s nursing care, answering call lights for assistance, communicating with co-workers, and recording pertinent information into the patient’s/resident’s chart. The position requires the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, maintain accuracy, handle constantly changing situations, interact with a variety of people, manage stressful situations, and resolve conflict. Team members are expected to perform all assigned job duties and tasks, and adhere to all requirements, regulations, and procedures of any licensing board or agency, as well as all Benefis Health System’s organization policies and procedures. Requirements

Current state registered nurse license required.
BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC required or to be obtained within 6 months after hire.
Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations.
Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.

Responsibilities

Supervises and assists in the overall care provided during each shift.
Assess and provides patient/resident care within established policies, procedures and professional standards, with consideration for the patient’s/resident’s choices, privacy, and independence.
Making regular rounds observing patient’s/resident’s nursing care.
Answering call lights for assistance.
Communicating with co-workers.
Recording pertinent information into the patient’s/resident’s chart.
Perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned.
Follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency.
Comply with all Benefis Health System’s organization policies and procedures.
