About The Position

The role involves supervising and assisting in the overall care provided during each shift. This includes assessing and providing patient/resident care within established policies, procedures, and professional standards, while considering the patient’s/resident’s choices, privacy, and independence. Specific tasks include making regular rounds, observing patient’s/resident’s nursing care, answering call lights for assistance, communicating with co-workers, and recording pertinent information into the patient’s/resident’s chart. The position requires the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, maintain accuracy, handle constantly changing situations, interact with a variety of people, manage stressful situations, and resolve conflict. Team members are expected to perform all assigned job duties and tasks, and adhere to all requirements, regulations, and procedures of any licensing board or agency, as well as all Benefis Health System’s organization policies and procedures. Requirements

  • Current state registered nurse license required.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC required or to be obtained within 6 months after hire.
  • Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations.
  • Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.

Responsibilities
