The Community Home Loan Lender will originate portfolio loans, government loans, HELOCs, and fixed-rate loans. This role involves generating residential loans in targeted areas by actively promoting the Bank’s CRA lending efforts. The lender will identify customer needs, analyze financial data, and offer recommendations on mortgage loan products. A key aspect of this role is participating in and/or leading community-related events to build relationships with Realtors, Builders, Community Action Groups, and other stakeholders. The lender will also join and establish relationships with non-profit organizations, Board of Realtors, Home Builders Associations, city and state housing agencies to generate and increase first-time buyer and CRA lending opportunities. Hosting local home buyer education events and providing program/product awareness training are also responsibilities. This role requires minimizing risk exposure by adhering to all federal, state, and internal compliance regulations, policies, and procedures. Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge base of the mortgage industry, products, lending practices, and regulatory guidelines, especially those beneficial to local communities, is essential. The lender must understand and follow the Park National Bank lending policy, procedures, and underwriting requirements, while also maintaining awareness of and adherence to the Bank’s compliance requirements and risk management concepts.
