Community Health Worker | Boulder
About The Position
As our Community Health Worker, you will work directly in the community with underserved populations to guide and increase community education that would support community members to connect to our services for their behavioral health. You will work in Boulder County to provide education on mental health facts, available services and create avenue(s) to connect with services. You will be the trusted partner in the community building relationships based on your shared life experiences. You will report to the Community Outreach Manager. Job Profile: Do you have a knack of educating people in a culturally competent presentation, manner, and approach? Are you able to connect with people to learn about their barriers and be able to guide them to available resources? Are you motivated to reduce health disparities in underserved populations by identifying and understanding barriers they can connect to
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Safe and clean Colorado driver's license
- Reliable transportation to connect with clients in community settings
- Connected in the community to connect clients to behavioral health services
- Lived experience in the behavioral health care system
