About The Position

As a Community Health Worker (CHW) Trainee, you will make a profound impact on the lives of people with complex and/or chronic conditions who face barriers to accessing care. The role involves an 8-week training program where you will participate in CHW coursework and gain on-the-job skills in assigned Clinical Departments. During this trainee period, all trainees report to the Director of Workforce Development. Requirements

High School Diploma or G.E.D.
BLS required at hire
Able to anticipate potential problems and problem-solve independently
Good communication skills with the ability to work with different NeighborHealth departments both independently and as a team member

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

Participate fully in the 8-week training program by attending all in-person and zoom trainings
Join in all on-the-job training in various Clinical Dpts
Reflect NeighborHealth core values
Maintain a professional attitude
Work in assigned NeighborHealth Department supporting the needs of that Department, their colleagues, and patients (if applicable)
Maintain excellent punctuality and attendance
Participate in required departmental activities
Adhere to all NeighborHealth and departmental policies and procedures
Use NeighborHealth devices appropriately
Follow established departmental policies and procedures for environmental safety and infection control
Perform other related duties from the clinical department as needed
