Requirements

  • Must possess active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
  • Must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Must pass a background investigation.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze county level health data to identify needs and resources
  • Link program resources with community partners to support local health activities
  • Develop public health initiatives using protocols, guidelines, and community data
  • Monitor communicable and vaccine preventable diseases using public health information systems
  • Provide education programs that address a variety of public health topics
  • Deliver clinical services for immunizations and specimen collection to promote patient health and prevent or control disease
