Community Habilitation Counselor Part Time
About The Position
For over 50 years, Life’s WORC has provided high quality services and support to people with intellectual disabilities and autism in Queens, Manhattan, Nassau and Suffolk counties. Today, they support more than 2,000 people across their residential locations and community programs. This part-time position offers a great opportunity for staff looking for extra hours. The role involves participation in the training and supervision of individuals, incorporating community resources, maintaining communication with the Community Habilitation Coordinator, and implementing/monitoring valued outcome goal work. Requirements
- Valid NY State or out of state driver's license
- HS diploma/GED
- Own vehicle for transporting the person supported when necessary
Responsibilities
- Participation in the training and supervision if the individual while incorporating the use of community resources.
- Maintain on-going communication with the Community Habilitation Coordinator.
- Attend scheduled meetings for discussions when necessary.
- Implement and monitor valued outcome goal work with the Individuals.
