About The Position
Community Habilitation Counselors provide individualized support to people with disabilities in their communities. In this role, you'll help individuals develop everyday skills, make meaningful connections, participate in activities they enjoy, and work toward the goals that are important to them. You’ll use your creativity, patience, and enthusiasm to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- At least one year of work experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to build positive, respectful relationships with individuals and families
- Valid New York State driver’s license
- Access to an insured, registered vehicle
- Ability to work flexible hours
