Colorado Medicaid/HCBS Community & Growth Specialist

Dose Health
$65,000 - $72,000Remote

About The Position

Dose Health is expanding its footprint in Colorado's Medicaid/Home & Community-Based Services (HCBS) market. This role is about building organic, community-led awareness of Dose Health's PERS devices and the Dose Flip medication reminder across the state — showing up consistently at the events, fairs, and gatherings where case managers, care coordinators, and the people we serve already are. This person builds relationships naturally through education, visibility, trust, and word of mouth. When not in the field, this role also supports day-to-day client- and case manager-facing operations.

Requirements

  • Must live in Colorado, preference to the greater Denver metro area or Colorado Springs
  • Willing to travel the majority (75%) of the time during conference season (March- October)
  • 2+ years of Colorado Medicaid/HCBS or disability services experience
  • Genuine passion for education and relationship-building over transactional sales
  • Comfortable with balancing field travel with structured desk/phone work on non-event days
  • Comfortable with heavy in-state travel and a flexible, event-driven schedule
  • Warm, approachable communication style — someone people remember and trust after one conversation, whether in person or on the phone
  • Self-directed with strong organizational skills to manage a busy calendar of events and a daily task queue independently
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Community engagement, healthcare education, customer service, or field-based outreach preferred but not required
  • Spanish fluency a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Attend HCBS conferences, disability resource fairs, aging services expos, provider trainings, and community events across Colorado on a frequent, ongoing basis — becoming a familiar, trusted face in the space.
  • Deliver informational sessions and materials on PERS devices and the Dose Flip medication reminder tailored to specific audiences (e.g., neurodivergent individuals, aging adults, waiver case managers) — building awareness and understanding rather than pushing a sale.
  • Develop genuine, low-pressure relationships with case managers, Area Agencies on Aging, Centers for Independent Living, and community organizations so that Dose Health is top of mind when questions about PERS or medication reminders arise.
  • Identify opportunities to generate organic awareness — testimonials, local success stories, community spotlights — that spread through trusted networks rather than direct outreach.
  • Stay current on Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing (HCPF) policy changes and the competitive landscape to speak knowledgeably in the field.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls with clients regarding device setup, troubleshooting, and general support.
  • Work through daily client- and case manager-facing tasks (e.g., device requests, CM status updates, follow-ups on field-generated referrals, documentation/record updates). Complete and document client interactions so the Support team can pick up work seamlessly when you're in the field.
  • Bring back field insights (what questions come up, what objections exist, what messaging resonates) to help refine how Dose Health communicates its value and relay recurring client/CM issues to the broader team.

  • Paid holidays
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Phone and internet reimbursement
  • 12 weeks of paid parental leave
  • Health Insurance Reimbursement Account (QSEHRA)
  • Home office equipment and technology setup
  • 401k (no match)
