About The Position

CAPSA is a nonprofit organization providing confidential support to individuals affected by domestic violence and sexual abuse across Cache Valley and the Bear Lake area. In addition to response services, CAPSA focuses on prevention-working with youth and the community to reduce violence before it starts. We are hiring a Community Engagement Educator to help CAPSA engage, educate, and build relationships throughout Franklin and Bear Lake Counties. This role combines prevention education, community outreach, civic engagement, and meaningful relationship-building and provides an opportunity to work directly with youth, adults, businesses, schools, community organizations, and local leaders. A significant part of this role is serving as a visible representative of CAPSA in the communities we serve. The Community Engagement Educator will deliver presentations and trainings to both youth and adults, attend and coordinate community events, participate in groups such as Chambers of Commerce and local coalitions, and help build partnerships that strengthen CAPSA's presence and impact. This position will also help establish and grow a CAPSA Youth Council, creating opportunities for young people to develop leadership skills, participate in prevention efforts, and become actively involved in creating safer, healthier communities. The role will support community awareness initiatives, the Idaho Advisory Board, and development efforts that strengthen CAPSA's relationships with local supporters and partners. This position is well-suited for someone who is organized, creative, comfortable speaking in front of groups, and energized by connecting with people. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, coordinating moving parts, participating in community life, and creating engaging experiences that connect people to prevention education and CAPSA's mission.

Responsibilities

Delivering engaging prevention education, awareness presentations, and trainings to youth, adults, businesses, schools, and community groups.
Representing CAPSA at community events, outreach opportunities, civic meetings, coalition meetings, and other gatherings throughout Franklin and Bear Lake Counties.
Building and maintaining relationships with schools, businesses, financial institutions, community organizations, civic leaders, and other local partners.
Participating in Chambers of Commerce, coalitions, and other community groups to strengthen CAPSA's visibility, partnerships, and community engagement.
Coordinating and supporting CAPSA's participation in community events, outreach opportunities, awareness initiatives, and prevention campaigns.
Helping establish and support a CAPSA Youth Council and creating meaningful opportunities for youth leadership, civic engagement, and prevention involvement.
Supporting the Idaho Advisory Board through communication, coordination, relationship-building, and community connections.
Supporting CAPSA's development efforts by participating in donor and community engagement activities, supporting fundraising and awareness events, and helping identify opportunities for partnerships and community support.
Managing event and training logistics, materials, scheduling, communication, and follow-up to ensure CAPSA is represented effectively in the community.
Tracking program participation, training and presentation hours, community engagement, and other outcomes to support program and grant goals.
Maintaining timely communication, documentation, scheduling, and follow-up across multiple projects and responsibilities.
